Sara lives the dream of a diverse career, having found a place in the philanthropic community as a trustee to California's own Durfee Foundation. She completed a science degree in biochemistry from Arizona State University, and is focusing her scientific agency on ecologically intelligent innovation.
Greer Foundation -Alsip, IL
Heather is excited to be the newest employee at the Greer Foundation, a small family foundation in Alsip, Illinois. Having volunteered at various nonprofits for the past 15 years, this was a good job choice for her to combine a job with her love of helping others.
Open Road Alliance - Washington, DC
Caroline is the portfolio manager of Open Road Alliance. She has 8+ years of experience in impact investing in Latin America and Africa as investment principal for Dalberg’s D. Capital and as investment officer for the Calvert Foundation. Caroline holds an MBA from Tuck at Dartmouth and BBA from the University of Michigan.
Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation - Little Rock, AR
Michael is the grants & operations manager for the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation. He works primarily with the chief operating and financial officer, as well as with the foundation’s vice president to ensure an ongoing connection between the strategic plan and its day-to-day operations. Michael is primarily responsible for providing critical administrative, grants management, logistical, and office management support.
The Richard E. and Nancy P. Marriott Foundation - Bethesda, MD
Tom is a program officer at the Richard E. and Nancy P. Marriott Foundation, focused on the Washington, DC metro area. He received an MPP from University of Maryland and volunteers with an organization working to end chronic homelessness in DC
Fremont Area Community Foundation -Fremont, MI
Jessica is the director of marketing and communications at Fremont Area Community Foundation. Previous work experiences outside communications were in human resources and employee training. In her spare time, Jessica blogs about life on a dairy farm and tries to convince everyone of the superiority of the Oxford comma.
Frankel Family Foundation -Chicago, IL
Emily is a 21-year-old student at Northern Arizona University, working towards a double major of Photography and Strategic Communications with an emphasis in merchandising. She graduated from Prescott High School in 2013 as an honor student. After graduation Emily hopes to have a career as a photographer.
The Hatfield Family Foundation -Minneapolis, MN
Erica is a middle-aged woman who enjoys travel, literature, and anything amusing. She also enjoys creating things, manifesting her ideas, and the outdoors. So far she has not given herself a title in The Hatfield Family Foundation, but when she does it will be more like a phrase or short sentence (with long words) and involve hyphens.

Dan brings a people-first vision and excellence-at-all-levels focus to all his endeavors, whether working in his family’s Minnesota building material business, or starting his own travel blog based in Orlando. With the start of his family’s foundation, he is excited to apply his energy in an entirely new direction. Dan currently lives with his wife and two daughters in Saint Paul, MN.

Sammie has four years of experience at Foundant Techonologies, and has helped hundreds of grantmaking organizations implement Grant Lifecycle Manager. In the last year, she has found a true passion and inspiration in youth philanthropy which she is excitedly helping kick-start locally. A born and raised Montanan she happily works where she plays.
James R. and Anita Horne Jenkins Family Foundation - Midland, MI
Andrea is finishing her Ph.D. in anthropology at the University of Chicago, specializing in race/ethnicity, education, and policy. She is secretary of the board for the James R. & Anita Horne Jenkins Family Foundation and is preparing to take on new roles with more responsibilities.
The Kahlert Foundation - Lehi, UT
Heather is vice president of the Kahlert Foundation and is responsible for all operations in the West, mainly in Utah. She is 32 years old and looks forward to a long and active involvement in the philanthropic community.
The OSA Foundation -New York, NY
Andrea has spent the last three years working in the Advisory Services practice of Ernst & Young LLP, and specializes in financial services risk management. She is currently supporting financial services advisory operations and strategy for all customers. Andrea helps drive the company's strategy, growth and vision.
Roy & Patricia Disney Family Foundation - Los Angeles, CA
Megan currently sits on the board of the Roy and Patricia Disney Family Foundation. She recently graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in the humanities. Megan is a native Angeleno and is exceedingly fascinated with the public sector and social impact space around Los Angeles.
David and Lura Lovell Foundation - Tucson, AZ
Kendra was elected to the Lovell Foundation’s board of advisors in January 2014. She is a registered dental hygienist and practices at Integrative Dental Associates in Phoenix, Arizona. Kendra is an active volunteer in her community by voluneteering her time at several organizations such as the Arizona Coalition for Tomorrow Kids Health Fair, the Central Arizona Mission of Mercy, the Phoenix Children’s Hospital and the Valley Foundation.
Amanda (Mandy) Oettmeier
Journey Charitable Foundation -Austin, TX
Mandy is a young professional working in account management for a software company in Austin, TX. She has been a board member of the Journey Charitable Foundation for five years. Mandy hopes to learn how to be an even more effective board member and gain ideas to help move the foundation forward into the future.
ECMC Foundation - Los Angeles, CA
Jenny is the program analyst for teacher development and evaluation at ECMC Foundation in Los Angeles. Previously, she worked as liaison program coordinator at Educational Consortium of Central Los Angeles where she connected teachers in South Los Angeles to museum, college and community resources. Jenny also has experience as a paralegal and a high school teacher in Chicago, where she was a Teach for America corps member.
The Ludke Foundation - Boston, MA
Carolyn is a foundation assistant for the Ludcke Foundation and for seven other foundations through her work at GMA Foundations, a philanthropic advisory firm in Boston. She is engaged in the local, national, and international grantmaking portfolios of these foundations and has a particular interest in analyzing giving patterns.
ECMC Foundation - Los Angeles, CA
Angela is the ECMC Foundation’s program analyst for college readiness and retention. Her experience in higher education informs her evaluation of potential grantees, community stakeholders, and strategic partners. Blending education and philanthropy, Angela is a member of Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP) and received her master’s in education from UCLA.
Helen J. Serini Foundation - Frederick, MD
Alex is a board member of the Helen J. Serini Foundation, a private foundation operating in Maryland. He currently works as a chef in a gastropub in Baltimore. An outdoors enthusiast, Alex spends much of his time hiking and studying mycology, and plans to continue his education by pursuing a degree in environmental studies.
The Floyd C. Johnson and Flo Singer Johnson Foundation, Inc. - Sarasota, FL
Browyn is currently a staff member at the Flo Foundation. She is a young professional who also does work as a theatre artist and account manager. Browyn recently graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a bachelor's degree in theatre arts.
ECMC Foundation - Los Angeles, CA
Maggie is the program analyst for career readiness at ECMC Foundation. She earned her master's in public policy with a focus on K-16 education from Vanderbilt University's Peabody College of Education and Human Development. While in school, she produced original content for online courses aimed at college access professionals with the Tennessee College Access and Success Network.
Bell Brothers Foundation - Muncie, IN
Jenna joined the Ball Brothers Foundation (BBF) in Muncie, Indiana as a program officer in 2014. Prior to joining BBF, she worked in development for a social service agency in Indianapolis. Jenna earned an executive Master of Arts degree in philanthropic studies at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.

Jen is a graduate of Neely School of Business at TCU, and has successfully navigated a career in sales and business development and eventually nonprofit work at Literacy Advance. Now as mom of two boys, Jen steals time away to do her dream job in Houston at The Frees Foundation as Grant Coordinator.

Kara is the program officer at Child Relief International. Her primary interest is early stage NGOs with the potential to scale, and change the world.

Jack is a 25 year-old college student living in Colorado. He has previously served five years in the Marine Corps where he did various deployments. Jack hopes to better understand how to donate money, and to be exposed to the various styles of philanthropy.

Meredith is a research associate at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, where she organizes exhibitions of contemporary art. When not doing art-related things, she serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Patricia D. and William B. Smullin Foundation, started by her maternal grandparents.
Tracy Family Foundation - St. Louis, MO
Megan is a third generation of the Tracy Family Foundation and serves as chair of the Next Generation Advisory Board. She works as a meeting & event coordinator at Dot Foods in St. Louis and plans to graduate in December 2015 with her Master of Nonprofit Management degree from Fontbonne University.
National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy - Washington, DC
Caitlin is project associate with the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy, where she conducts research for Philamplify. In addition to degrees from American University and The College of New Jersey, she has five years of experience in the nonprofit sector in both direct service and advocacy.

Samantha is program associate at The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation. Combining her background in agricultural leadership and previous work in nonprofits, she has found a career in philanthropy and enjoys helping nonprofits succeed by helping develop and strengthen partnerships in the community.

Lisa is program officer at The Morningstar Foundation, a private family foundation with a primary mission to support Jewish community projects throughout the Greater Washington, DC area; the U.S. and in Israel. The foundation also supports secular community organizations in specified focus areas in Washington, DC.
The Claire Friedlander Family Foundation - Huntington, NY
Courtney is a rising senior at Georgetown University. She studied abroad in Ecuador and Turkey, and is influenced by her love of international affairs. Courtney is a board member of the Claire Friedlander Family Foundation, where she advises the board on women equality, the environment, the arts and international affairs.
Excellence in Giving Fund - Colorado Springs, CO
Rachel sits on the board of the Excellence in Giving Fund, which supports small, catalytic investments in Christian organizations. By day, she works as a second-generation philanthropy advisor supporting multiple foundations. Previous roles include work in the non-profit sector and entertainment. She is also a millennial blogger who constantly mortifies her mother by writing about dating.
Quimby Family Foundation - Portland, ME
Hannah is board president of the Quimby Family Foundation, and is a certified nutritionist and personal trainer. Currently residing in a Sprinter van somewhere between California and Maine, she directs the foundation while doing outreach for the Outdoors Empowered Network and hiking the highest mountain in all 50 states.
The Miles Foundation, Inc. - Fort Worth, TX
Sara is director of communications for The Miles Foundation, where she brings 10 years of strategic planning, marketing, and communications experience to her role. Prior experiences include leading business development at a global law firm and founding Redington Solutions, a marketing and communications firm.
Robins Foundation - Richmond, VA
Courtney is the grants manager at Robins Foundation in Richmond, VA. Previously, she worked for a foundation/nonprofit consultant group, 501 Advisors, and as an intern/contract program officer for the Cameron Foundation. She received her MS from Virginia State University and is certified in project management.

Maddi is an occupational therapist working at a major hospital in Dallas, TX and has been a member of the J.R. Albert Foundation Next Gen Board for the past four years, with an emphasis on meeting the needs of children.

Leader Dogs for the Blind Foundation - Rochester Hills, MI
Kathryn has 10 years of philanthropic experience in grantmaking and foundation giving. Currently, she is a foundation professional with Leader Dogs for the Blind Foundation and serves as a consultant to public sector grantmakers. She is completing doctoral studies, and MSU’s Community Engagement program.
Panta Rhea Foundation, Inc. - Sausalito, CA
Patricia played an active role in co-developing the Panta Rhea Foundation. She is a hybrid trustee and aspiring program officer. Her interest and focus is on animal and sustainable agriculture and food systems. She is also a nurse practitioner with Harvard Vanguard in the Boston area.
Wilhelm Foundation - Los Angeles, CA
Cascade is a multi-disciplinary artist and editor, currently based in Los Angeles. Last year, she became the executive director of the Wilhelm Foundation, which supports arts organizations nationwide. Originally from Oregon, Cascade has lived, worked, and studied in New York City, the Bay Area, and Cuba.

Julie is the first of her generation to be involved with her family’s foundation, Arntz Family Foundation. Serving as both board member and associate director, she is transitioning to a career in philanthropy.

Tiara is passionate about being involved in the Fortuna community. She actively serves on community boards, runs her own business, and is studying business administration.
