When tackling social problems, it is often said people closest to the problem best know the solutions. Supporting grassroots organizations is an important part of the philanthropic ecosystem. Join us for a Live Discussion and hear how two foundations support grassroots organizing efforts across the globe. You’ll walk away with a new understanding of grassroots grantmaking, and how to support scalable solutions in communities.
Nina Blackwell of Firelight Foundation, and Laura García of Global Greengrants Fund will kick-off the call by sharing how they are responding.
Nina Blackwell, Executive Director, Firelight Foundation. As executive director, Nina supports the entire team to listen, co-create, collaborate, learn, and document with our grantee-partners. Nina also works with the Firelight team and their grantees to set and deliver on their strategic impact and to engage donors in the work.
