Join a conversation with colleagues who are also non-family staff members at family foundations for a discussion on the unique challenges you face in your role as non-family staff. Our member-host Jan Wilkins will offer an initial prompt to get conversation started in round one, and for the second round, we’ll crowdsource your topic ideas for small-group discussions.
Jan Wilkins has been the executive director of the Tom & Virginia Seely Foundation in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, since 1998. During that time, the Seely Foundation has greatly increased its grantmaking and recently established a partnership with another philanthropist. The foundation’s mission is to help the children of Morgan County in the Eastern Panhandle of WV. Jan has worked with nonprofits for many years including as a board member of the Eastern WV Community Foundation.
About Virtual Roundtables
These are low-key member conversations that allow you to dig in, share knowledge, and ask about each other’s experiences through small group discussions.
Our hope is that you’ll be open with your peers and able to talk through your unique challenges. And that you’ll leave with a renewed sense of community and peer connections.
This is your space to explore topics that you are passionate about. Bring your experience to share and your questions to ask of your colleagues.
We’re using the platform Remo Conference for Virtual Roundtables; closed captioning not yet available. You’ll need to use a desktop, laptop, or phone with Chrome, Safari, or Firefox as your browser. To access the conversation, you’ll receive an email with a link before the program.
